Stephanie Williams, RMT

My name is Stephanie. I am a registered massage therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2016. I have a passion for healthcare and wellness and a drive to always keep learning which led me to this wonderful career. I completed my Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy at Mohawk College in 2015. I find if I am not currently learning something new, I begin to feel like I am falling behind.

In my time as an RMT, I have taken courses on Hot Stone Massage, Kinetic Taping, Cupping Massage, Indian Head Massage, Pre-Natal massage, Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunctions and Deep Tissue Techniques. I am constantly looking for new and exciting programs and courses to take to help my clients in as many ways as possible. I am currently enrolled in a program to become a Certified Aromatherapist as well and look forward to utilizing essential oils to help my clients with their wellness and health goals.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my dog and family (if you ever want to get me talking for hours on end, just ask about my dog or niece and nephews). I enjoy music, baking and hiking. These have been lifelong hobbies for me to try to keep my mind calm and myself busy.

I realized I had a drive for healthcare and wellness when I was very young. I would always ask everyone thousands of questions about their aches and pains as soon as I knew about them and would ask for updates every time I saw them. When I was young, I had a rather bad sports injury that took me off the fields permanently and since then, I have suffered from chronic pain in my leg. I believe in seeing the bright side of every situation and because of this, I decided my pain could drive me to help others. With my understanding of what it’s like to have constant pain, I can sympathize well with others suffering from this and believe it helps me to help you better. It gives me the drive to help others relieve their pain as quickly as possible.

I look forward to learning new things and meeting new people as my career continues in this wonderful field.
